RFMD Commences Volume Shipments of Next-Generation WCDMA/HSPA+ Power Amplifiers for Smart Phones and 3G Devices
RFMD has commenced high-volume shipments of the RF720x WCDMA/HSPA+ power amplifiers (PAs) to leading smart phone and 3G device manufacturers. The RF720x product family is designed for seamless operation with 3G reference designs from Qualcomm and other leading open market chipset suppliers.
RFMD Introduces New WiFi Front End Module
The RF5365 WiFi front end module (FEM) from RFMD is now available. This highly integrated FEM satisfies the need for aggressive size reductions for typical 802.11b/g front end designs and greatly reduces the number of components outside the core chipset.
RFMD Expands Family of Front End Modules for ZigBee(R)-based SmartEnergy and ISM Applications
The RF6515 front end module (FEM) from RFMD is now available. The feature-rich RF6515 FEM improves the performance of 2.4 GHz - 2.5GHz ISM band wireless applications requiring longer-grange operation at high efficiency, inlcuding WLAN, ZigBee(R), SmartEngergy/Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) adn Home Area Networks (HANs).
RFMD Introduces Highly Integrated Amplifier for Mobile PC and Embedded Applications
RFMD now offers the RF5616, a highly integrated 4.9 - 5.8 GHz (ISM band), 3 x 3 mm power amplifier designed to significantly reduce cutsomers' total solution size and cost. The RF5616 is targeted for high-performance mobile PC and embedded applications including access points, gateways, DSL routers, wireless high definition interface (WHDI) and WLAN for wireless video distribution networks.
RFMD Introduces RF3858 Front End Module for Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and Other 900 MHz ISM Band Applications
The highly integrated, single-chip RF3858 addresses the increasing requirements for aggressive size reductions in the RF front end designs for portable equipment. It combines a PA capable of 31.5 dBm of output power with a (DPDT) Tx/Rx transfer switch, an LNA, and a Tx harmonic filter.
